Ever here of Dog Field Trials? They use a lot of gaited horses, because they ride all day, like 8 hours. So if your looking at a horse that has done them, it's nice to see what they do at them. This is a pretty good video of what goes on. Remember the horses that were or are good at them, go all day, so may not be quiet enough for just a once a week ride, but they are usually good with dogs, gun fire, birds and other horses.
