This clinic is for you, so we have options on the forum. We can do one-hour lessons per person. Each gaited horse is different as well as each rider, so more participants benefit if they have an exclusive hour to work with me. All participants are welcome to watch all the other riders.
We can work on any issues you are having, including ground work, gaining respect, gaiting, cantering, mounting, behavior issues. Any breed of horse is welcome to participate.
The other option is to do a traditional clinic where the participants are all in the arena together. With this forum I will give you exercises to do while I spend some individual time to work with each participant. We will work on gaiting and basic maneuvers but it will be harder to work on behavior issues.
You decide which will work better for your group. Come up with some dates and a facility.
Hosting site will need large parking area for trailers, stabling, and camping or hotels nearby. If weather is unpredictable or very hot, a covered arena would work best. Host can supply lunches for a fee or request participants to bring their own lunches.
If you would like to be a host of the clinic, please make sure you have a hosting site first that will allow a clinic and find the daily fees to use the facility, then contact me through Facebook messenger or email themajesticrider@yahoo.com and we can further discuss having a clinic in your area. The host will get a free clinic or a discount depending on arena fees and travel.
If you would like to fly me to your destination for private lessons this is also an option, but will need travel and lodging covered as well as my daily fee which we can discuss.
1) Payment/Fees: All participants must pay in full to reserve a place in the clinic. Refunds will be given only if a replacement can be found and does not include the non refundable deposit. This insures your having enough participants to cover the costs.
2) Requirements: If you require health certificates, coggins papers, etc., be sure that all participants know well in advance so they can either fax in copies or bring them along. Also, be up front in stating that the host and/or the clinician has the right to ask a rider with an obviously sick, or dangerously unruly horse to leave.
3) Advance Packet: Before the clinic, send all participants a receipt for payment, a clinic schedule outlining the day and whether lunch is provided. Include barn rules and information such as where to park, where the water is, where not to go (i.e., the stallion barn). If people are coming from far away, include a map of the area, lodging facilities and a map to the barn.
Thank you!
